Facilities
The plant is equipped with innovative machinery that reflects the different stages of the production process. Pirinplast manufactures its products using three main technological methods, which are constantly being improved: extrusion; pressure molding (injection molding); blow molding.
Extrusion – Pirinplast is the only manufacturer of polypropylene corrugated plastic with the trade name and registered trademark "VELPLASTIC" in Bulgaria. This method is used to produce polypropylene corrugated cardboard and polymer nets, which are internationally sought-after products.
Pressure molding (injection molding) – This method is used to produce products weighing from a few grams to 4500 grams, meeting a wide range of consumer requirements.
Blow molding – This method is used to produce tubes and containers of various capacities.
Recycling – Pirinplast has two recycling and granulation facilities, which it uses to produce secondary materials and minimize production waste.
Raw material
The main raw materials used in production are: polypropylene, high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene, and polystyrene.
In 2018, Pirinplast began introducing biodegradable raw materials for the production of disposable tableware. In 2020, Pirinplast successfully produced bio-products and started offering them on the market.
Our main component in production remains polypropylene (PP). PP is a widely used and 100% recyclable material. Aware of the properties and qualities of the raw material, the company has introduced equipment for granulating technological waste into its machine park. Over the years, Pirinplast has modernized and expanded its facilities, which minimize production waste.
The implemented waste-free technology reduces the separation and disposal of PP waste. Its processing and recycling takes place at the plant and is used to manufacture new products.
We constantly strive to encourage our customers and partners to adopt a circular economy by offering to purchase products after their life cycle. We recycle the products and produce secondary raw materials suitable for new products.
The monthly processed raw material, which is granulated and reused in the production process, is between 50 and 60 tons per month.
